Jeffrey Henderson
Jeff is a seasoned construction executive with more than 35 years of industry experience, having successfully led high-impact projects across residential, hospitality, government, healthcare, educational, and institutional sectors. His arrival at Banneker marks a pivotal step forward in our mission to build purpose-driven communities with precision, excellence, and vision.
Prior to joining Banneker, Jeff served as Vice President of Operations at Donohoe Construction, where he oversaw over $180 million in active developments, including multifamily and hospitality projects in Arlington, Bethesda, and Reston. His leadership portfolio also includes key roles at Smoot Construction and Lendlease, where he managed teams executing over $1 billion in construction volume. Jeff has delivered iconic projects such as the Avidian Condominiums, the Smithsonian Institution renovations, National Archives upgrades, and the Bowie State Entrepreneurship Living and Learning Center, among many others.
Jeff holds an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from American University and a BS in Architectural Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University—where he continues to give back through college recruiting and mentoring. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is deeply committed to service, serving on the Board of Covenant House Greater Washington, supporting youth and families in need.
