As Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), Somayeh oversees financial operations, develops budgets, implements internal controls, and ensures regulatory compliance. Somayeh has been with Banneker Ventures since 2015, initially serving as Senior Accountant & Contract Manager before becoming Controller in 2023 and CFO in 2025. She has a proven track record of streamlining processes, reducing costs, and improving financial reporting accuracy.

Her previous roles at Banneker Ventures involved managing financial statements, annual budgets, cash flow, and account reconciliations, as well as directing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and monthly job cost reports for projects. Before joining Banneker Ventures, Somayeh served as Senior Accounting Manager/Treasurer at Certified Maintenance Company, Inc., where she administered and analyzed financial data, managed project accounting, and oversaw payroll processing.

Somayeh holds a PMP Certification and is proficient in various accounting and project management software. She holds a Master of Science in Accounting & Financial Management and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus, as well as an Associate Degree in Accounting from the College of Southern Maryland. Somayeh is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association and the CPA Academy Organization.
