He brings over 20 years of progressive experience in construction to Banneker. Mr. Seyoum successfully led the on-site construction of over 300,000 sq. ft. of interior modernization of the Lafayette/Import-Export Building in downtown Washington, D.C. for the U.S. General Services Administration. He is currently leading the on-site construction of the ground up Parking Lot District Services Facility Building for Montgomery County Department of Transportation. Prior to joining Banneker, Mr. Seyoum served as a Superintendent for Forrester Construction, HESS Construction and Butler Construction where he managed both new construction and interior construction projects totaling more than 2 million sq. ft. of space. Mr. Seyoum received a B.A. degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and is a LEED Accredited Professional, OSHA-30 certified, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Quality Management for Contractors professional, and a member of the Certified Professional Constructors (CPC).
