Banneker offers four main services: real estate development, real estate advisory, construction management and investment management services.

Our DEVELOPMENT DIVISION provides a full range of real estate development services for Banneker and non-Banneker projects using the most innovative approaches in design, finance and construction. These services include developing governmental approval strategies; developing project schedules, budgets and cash flow analysis which incorporate current construction cost data, as well as soft cost expectations; developing and refining the project's program; structuring the project team; identifying potential debt and equity partners; preparing comprehensive investment offering documents that provide detailed information about the project for evaluation by potential debt and equity partners; conducting tours of sites; negotiating investment opportunities into the project; and developing, implementing and coordinating community group and citizen advisory forums.

Our REAL ESTATE ADVISORY DIVISION advises public and private sector clients on the highest and best use of real estate assets; valuing real estate assets; developing and recommending financial structures for the development or disposition of assets; developing economic impact studies; performing detailed local market and sub-market studies; and performing architectural and community based planning services.

Our CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT DIVISION provides every conceivable CM-related service for public, private and public-private clients, including developing a program; creating and evaluating project budgets and schedules; negotiating and entering into contracts with professional service firms; working closely with architect and engineering firms to ensure quality construction documents; managing the permit and approval process; developing cost accounting and reporting strategies; coordination of temporary and permanent utilities; and monitoring and coordinating daily construction and close-out activities.

Our INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION, through Banneker Capital, sources and executes selected real estate investment opportunities within urban neighborhoods throughout the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, with a focus on Washington, DC. The team provides market returns to our investors by investing in Banneker-portfolio projects and other strategic projects. Our investment management team's focus on transit-oriented sites and public-private partnerships enables it to take advantage of often-neglected neighborhoods in urban markets. The team leverages the firm's strong presence and local knowledge of the Metropolitan Washington, DC region, full service acquisition and development capacity, extensive experience in community development and public-private partnerships, and relationships with the best-in-class development partners, to efficiently implement the firm's investment strategy through direct investment and joint ventures. To date, the team has invested equity in more than 200,000 square feet of mixed-use, mixed-income projects in the Washington Metropolitan region.
