In February 2016, Banneker Ventures, in a partnership with Franklin Parking (operator of the largest parking lot in Washington, D.C.), purchased this 145-space parking garage in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. Over the past decade, Banneker has quietly been in the parking business and is thrilled to acquire this busy garage in a promising downtown Baltimore. Banneker and Franklin will not only own this garage, but will also manage and operate day-to-day activities. Its close proximity to restaurants, cafes and Mercy Medical Center will ensure that the garage is indeed a wonderful addition to Banneker’s portfolio.

Foundry Lofts

301 Tingey Street SE, Washington, DC

Banneker served as co-developer and construction manager for the interior demolition of a 221,000 sq. ft., 100 year-old former GSA office building and conversion into 170 residential units and 10,000 sq. ft. of ground floor office and retail space. Construction entailed addition of two stories on top of structure, adding two floors of interior parking and significant interior and exterior abatement. In addition to serving as construction manager for the project, Banneker also managed all efforts related to the design and build out of the ground floor retail space, leasing offices, commissioning and LEED certification for the project.
