Banneker Ventures Awarded $46.2M MATOC Aberdeen Proving Grounds Contract: Scored Second Highest of 37 Competitive Proposals

Baltimore, MD – Banneker Ventures has been awarded a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) by the United States Army.   The contract consists of maintenance, alterations and repair work at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and other off-site locations.   This is a contract worth $230,000,000 over five years; and up to $5M per task order.

This bid was strictly for 8(a) companies, of which 37 responded.   The Department of Defense selected five.   Banneker was ranked the second highest of overall contractors.  

About Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD

Located in Hartford County, APG is the area’s largest employer with “more than 21,000 civilian, military and contractor employees.”   A wide range of activities are performed here from—technology, research, intelligence and engineering—training of the National Guard and United States Army Reserve also take place there.

APG is home to 11 major commands and supports more than 80 tenants, 20 satellite and 17 private activities. APG’s facilities include more than 17 million square feet of building space in more than 2,000 buildings (including offices, administrative and training facilities, and warehouses, barracks and family housing).
