Historic Exterior Masonry & Clean-Up Project at McMillan Reservoir

Washington, DC

Banneker serves as prime general contractor to clean-up and stabilize the EASA Building at the McMillan Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in the District of Columbia.  This is the second task order awarded to Banneker as part of a SATOC with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.  The scope of work consists of the following: removal of hazardous material; making the building envelope weather tight by repairing all damaged and cracked bricks and mortar joints; preventing any further deterioration of historic fabric on the interior and exterior of the building by selective demolition; creating a more efficient plumbing system by removing the existing splash blocks and tying the existing roof drains to sewer and storm manholes; and demolishing a one-story building and providing the proper grading and landscaping as necessary.
